We are seeking an experienced Business Application Manager to manage our SAP and non-SAP business applications and drive innovation and efficiency in our technology stack. The successful candidate will lead a team of consultants to design, implement, and maintain business applications, ensuring that they meet the needs of our organization and are aligned with our overall IT strategy. The reporting line will be directly to the Group Head of IT.
YOUR NEW CHALLENGE
- Lead the development and maintenance of business applications in support of our business objectives
- Collaborate with diverse internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize IT initiatives that will drive business value and are aligned with business objectives and IT strategy
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team, including code reviews and mentoring
- Ensure that all business applications are designed, built, and deployed in a scalable and sustainable manner
- Monitor the performance of business applications, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, and implement improvements as needed
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in business applications and provide recommendations to the organization
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, design specifications and user manuals
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers as needed
- Establish and enforce standards and best practices for development, testing, and deployment of business applications
YOUR COMPETENCIES AND QUALITIES
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of experience in IT business applications, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Experience with SAP and non-SAP business application development and maintenance, including web applications, mobile applications, and enterprise applications
- Strong technical skills in software development, database design, and integration technologies
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Knowledge of cloud-based platforms and infrastructure is a plus
- Very good English language skills are a must-have (other European language skills are a plus)
