Purpose of the position
This position is key for the successful implementation of PLIXXENT´s Elastomers growth strategy and as such, it is part of the Elastomers Steering and Execution Team.
The Elastomers Account Manager supports PLIXXENT´s growth strategy in the Elastomers segment, by maintaining long-lasting customer relationships and by acquiring new customers in line with the defined growth strategy.
The Account Manager Elastomers works closely together with the Head of Industry Experts.
The Elastomers Account Manager also works together with PLIXXENT´s Global Product Management and R&D teams to further develop the Elastomers product range.
In alignment with the regional Head of Sales, the Account Manager Elastomer steers and guides the regional sales force, who can locally support the existing customer base.
The Elastomers Account Manager leads customer acquisition projects by constituting the right team and in cooperation with the Sales, R&D and Supply Chain, coordinates all needed activities.
Location
Anywhere in Europe, depending on best candidate situation and preferences.
Approximately 60 to 70 % travelling within Europe.
Major tasks and responsibilities

- Key Account Management function for selected key customers.
- Creates new business relationships with potential customers.
- Develops a healthy opportunity funnel and customer projects pipeline.
- Acquires new customers and develops the business in line with PLIXXENT's growth plan.
- Guides and supports the regional sales force in the implementation of the overall sales plan.
- Define and implement distribution strategy.
- Define and implement commercial positioning and pricing strategy.
- Builds up a strong industry network with key stake holders (customers, machine suppliers, associations)
- Gains market insights (market size, segments, trends, products and technologies, relevant legislation, customers, competitors)
- Proposes and supports Marketing & Communication activities for the given application segment.
- As part of the Elastomers Steering and Execution team, contributes to shape the Elastomers Strategy ad to address the major challenges.
Qualifications and experience
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the Elastomers Industry with a successful track record
- Strong industry network at a European level
- Language skills: English, other languages are welcome.
